Long Absence Update!

Hello fans, friends and family! Guess what has happened? I just had my BEST sales month, for a month without a new book launch - thanks to all of YOU!!!

Yes, word of mouth is driving sales. I have spent $0 on advertising these last three months, focusing on schooling and work. I've found suitable work for a writer who is slow in producing new tomes. Teaching. At least substitute teaching at the moment, but I'm back to work pursuing a second masters. This time, it's a teaching certification program in Pennsylvania, 

The sales bump is all you, my readers sharing your kind words about my works, driving new and growing sales. So, THANK YOU ALL!!! I love my readers, I'm coming up with a promotional thank you give away to thank my kindest reviewers on goodreads and amazon, stay tuned for updates. 

I do apologize for the delay in my postings, I am very sorry, I beg your pardon as I struggle with my disorders, the divorce, my growing kids (my oldest just had his worst year ever - first year of middle school) and new vocational endeavor. No, I'm not expecting to teach in a classroom, I'm looking to write educational materials, write reform advocacy pieces and just to learn more as I have some back burner projects requiring in-depth knowledge in this area. 

Here is an update I can share now - 1) June 2nd, we're presenting O'Rourke's with our plaque, and 2) the Gettysburg Education Foundation with a check for the money we raised with our first anthology. My fans know from reading that work that my piece of the anthology was the tops, and the only one with a religious note allowing us to reach best-seller in that category. Oh, 3) we are working a second anthology, my submission is due August 1st so I am also hard at work on that piece. I can say this much - it involves a whore, an undertaker of sorts, zombies, and the battle of Gettysburg. Yeah I'm late to the scene on the zombie trend but I don't do trends anyway. I been a zombie fan since the return of the living dead II in 198X something. =p

Please keep sharing the titles you love with your friends, I'm building new covers, 2nd editions for relaunches, and sequels are on the way for all my titles as well as a new hero about to be introduced, this one from a WWII pacific theatre civilian secret agent. Think james bond but no martini, more violence, less women. Also, our hero is a 2nd gen half-breed Japanese immigrant (using the vernacular of the day). And yes, there is a supernatural element as with all my work. He may cross sabers with Cthulu. It's coming, soon...and once again everyone, thank you for a record sales month!

Refocus time; June is PTSD awareness month

 Sometimes we get away from our core focus and skills. This blog is about the craft, but I'm not the expert or master, I'm still learning. I enjoy my work with the Gettysburg Writers Brigade (hereafter GWB) and I am an active contributor. My primary focus needs to be on my voice and my writing and my fans. Today at GWB we focused on branding. I think I write from a place of great hurt. My brand is dark, suspicious, subversive, angry, but it's also hopeful, healing, and even loving. My heroes overcome with great sacrifice, they succeed because of their hurt, they're limitations. Certain important ideals I hold dear shine through.  One of my compatriots in the GWB, lets call him Tumbleweed, said after reading Salem that the best part was the afterword (he enjoyed the story too). The message about my own hurt and experience with healing, the resources listed and my offer to help anyone who asks, anyone that finds them in those haunted places near death where that story cam...

Odd recent news...

 As a social scientist, an expert in strategic global human affairs with decades of experience accurately predicting things like the Iraq War, its outcome, etc. and working to stop a widening GWOT that may have repeated the Iraq debacle in Syria, I feel compelled to talk about today's news. Easy piece, China warning our birds out of their space. Who cares? We would do and have done, the same.  Behind the headlines, there is massive over reaction to our "quadrupling" of our forces in Taiwan. We have 30 guys there (on paper) x4 that's 120 guys. Barely an infantry company. Nobody actual thinks that matters. Our real numbers in Taipei? Meh. What about Ukraine? Were spending (laundering) more than 46 billion per year, more than we did in Afghanistan annually.
